January 2022 Activities

There are many popular activities in January.

• Making New Year’s Resolutions (and trying to keep them!)
• Starting Spring Semester at school
• Receiving tax filing information from employers and financial institutions
• Writing thank you cards

Writing Your Blog Post

Once you’ve got your topic (we’ve got tips for brainstorming here), you can write your blog. It can be helpful to start with an outline that you can then write into an article.

How long should my blog be?

In short, it depends on the topic and your audience.

Hubspot⁶ has crunched their numbers and found that their top 50 best blogs for generating traffic averaged between 2,100 and 2,400 words. However, 16 of these top 50 were less than 1,500 words, so you can see some variation.

They also found that if you were only looking at the top 50 best blogs for generating leads, the blogs were right around 2,500 words. So, depending on your goals, you might be aiming for longer blog posts.

With a little bit of planning, writing posts online can be easier than you think. And, hopefully this list has given you an idea of what to post online next month!
